Calne Rugby Club battled hard on Saturday but ultimately fell to a 10-0 defeat against Swindon College Old Boys in a physical and closely contested match.

The first half was an intense, defensive battle, with both teams showcasing grit and determination. Swindon College Old Boys eventually broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute with their first try of the match. A sustained spell of pressure near the Calne try line saw their forwards drive over for the opening score. However, the conversion was missed, leaving the score at 5-0.

Despite the setback, Calne held their ground for the remainder of the half, with resolute defending keeping the deficit manageable at the interval. The visitors also had brief moments of promise in attack, but Swindon’s defense held firm to prevent any scoring opportunities.
